iRacing is back on TV today. This time the INDYCAR series (why is that all caps?) live on NBCSN at 2:30 PM ET. This link is a good primer for the event.
Green Flag: 2:45 PM EST
Sage Karam won last week, so naturally, Bovada makes him the favorite for this race at +150. Those odds are completely ridiculous unless he gets the pole again. Even with the pole, those odds do not offer much value. But him, Will Power, and Scott McLaughlin are by far the most experienced iRacing drivers in the field. I’ve been trying to learn who has used iRacing in this series to pick the winner, because what else is there to do these days?
Of course, the betting lines disappeared as I was typing this and qualifying doesn’t take place until 2:30 PM EST.
There will be a competition caution, which can throw a small wrench into things. Considering that Sage Karam led all but 2 laps last week, I think the caution will be good for viewers of the race. Stages are a good thing for race fans.
I’m trying to find the starting lineup, but from Scott McLaughlin’s Twitch stream, it looks like this:
With that being the case, Will Power and Sage Karam are great picks to win. I’m surprised to see old Scott Speed up toward the top of the speed chart. Will be fun to see how it plays out. Let’s go racing!
