- Fangraphs Probable Pitchers: K% – BB% leaderboard.
The pick: JT Brubaker – Yes Philly’s offense scares me a little, but at least it’s in Pittsburgh (Pitcher’s ballpark). This is mostly fueled by Brubaker’s 18.6% K-BB rate, good for 7th best among today’s starting pitchers and tied with John Means. JT also has an xFIP and SIERA nearly a full run better than his current ERA. (Roster rate: Yahoo 18%, ESPN 18.8%)
- xFIP = 3.85
- SIERA = 3.81
- ERA = 4.67
