ESPN Streak for the Cash – Sunday, August 1, 2021

For the uninitiated, one of the internet’s best free games: Streak for the Cash!

Wake up, wake up, wake up! Ah, a new month. A fresh start for Streak!

Of course you can start with the Free Win that is always gifted on the first of the month. Also, the first day(s) there are typically some freebies out there. Looks like we have a few this evening. πŸ‘€

Picks

  • 11:30 AM -> Free Win
    • Duh
  • 2:00 PM -> PSG: Win or Draw vs. Lille – French Super Cup (Tel-Aviv, Israel)
    • There is no reason PSG should be getting the Draw along with the Win here. Myself and 99.2% of Streaks are on this one. However, the odds are a little nervy with PSG being (+125) on Bovada and (+138) at Pinnacle as of the 20′. Also, 🚨 πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ American international alert! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ 🚨 Timothy Weah (TransferMarkt page | US Soccer page) is a substitute for Lille. He made 28 appearances last season for Lille and scored 3 goals. I’m very optimistic for his future.
  • 4:10 PM -> LA Dodgers @ Arizona Diamondbacks
    • Julio Urias vs. Caleb Smith. Dodgers are (-250). Let’s not over think this.
      • Side note: timing matters here. The soccer match should be over by 4pm, but could go longer, I think.
  • 5:10 PM -> 8 Games or More (πŸ”’ LOCK of the day)
    • ATP Atlanta Open – Final (John Isner vs. Brandon Nakashima)
    • How many games will be played in the 1st set? Over/Under 7.5
      • These two just played July 23rd in the semi-finals at Los Cabos ATP in Mexico. It was (7-5, 6-4) in favor of Nakashima.
      • This week in Atlanta, Nakashima has played 11 sets. Every set since the first one (7 games) has gone 8 or more games.
      • Isner has also played 11 sets on his way to the final. All 11 sets have gone OVER 8 games. Only 1 of Isner’s sets has been just 9 games. 10/11 sets have played 10 or more games.
    • Yeah, forget about MLB. Take this one. I wish I would have skipped the soccer, too… πŸ™„
  • 7:05 PM -> Any Other Hit or No Hits
    • Lol, a triple or literally anything else for the first two innings during Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN. Maybe this should be the Lock of the Day??

Gonna have to do some research on the last pick of the day. Women’s 100m Hurdles at the Olympics. Kendra Harrison (USA) vs. the field. Check back for that one! Good luck Streaking!

As always, thanks for reading!

[EDIT] 6:02 PM

  • 10:50 PM -> Any Other Competitor
    • Women’s Track & Field (100m Hurdles): Who will win the GOLD MEDAL?
    • Kendra Harrison vs. the field as mentioned above.
    • This is all I need to see (via DraftKings sportsbook):

I have no clue who any of those people are, but it sure seems like Jasmine Camacho-Quinn is going to win this race. I’ll take the field. Sorry, America…
